Pre-launch draft — we'll finalise this before CharacterDex is publicly available.
CharacterDex is built to need as little of your data as possible. In plain language, here's what we collect and what we don't.
What we collect
By default, nothing that identifies you. You can browse, take the quiz, and vote without an account. Votes are tied to an anonymous device identifier — not to your name, email, or contacts.
No personal profile
We don't ask for your age, photo, contacts, or location. Nothing you do is public by default, and we never sell your data.
Optional accounts
If you choose to create an account, we store only what's needed to sign you in. You can delete your account — and export your data — at any time.
Analytics
We use basic, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful. We don't use advertising trackers.
Children
CharacterDex isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
